Dr. Sheri Vanino, PsyD
Clinical Psychologist & Trauma Specialist
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all.
The work begins with finding the right match.
The first step (even if it feels scary) is to reach out.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 29 years of experience working with individuals impacted by interpersonal violence and traumatic loss. I have held a range of professional roles that have shaped how I understand and approach trauma.

These experiences — from working within a District Attorney’s Office to helping co-found a law firm for victims of violence and serving as Clinical Director of Colorado’s largest rape crisis center — have provided a nuanced understanding of how trauma affects individuals.

What this work has consistently shown me is how profoundly trauma shapes people — not only emotionally, but in how they see themselves, relate to others, and experience safety in the world.

That perspective continues to inform my clinical practice.

I approach therapy with steadiness, clarity, and deep respect for
the survival strategies that were once protective — even if they no longer serve you now.
